Stockport County visit another County, Notts County, today in an attempt to continue their recent good form.

County come off the back of two straight wins against Morecambe and Wrexham, whereas Notts County have won just one of their last nine games.

The last time County won at Meadow Lane was in the promotion season of 97, when a 90th minute Graeme Hogg own goal gave County the three points. Jim Gannon was in the starting 11 that day, but today he will manage.

Guy Branston could make his home debut after signing on loan today.

Jason Lee is definitely out after breaking his arm.

Mike Edwards and Jay Smith won’t feature for Notts County.

Guy Branston, who has had some fantastic games against County for Peterborough in the past, has signed on a monts loan and could make his debut today,

Stockport County Team News:

Ashley Williams is still definitely out and isn’t likely to train until late next week.

Dominic Blizzard is back into the squad today and could start.

Matty McNeil is still having trouble with his knee, and is still complaining of soreness in the knee area.

Rob Clare is definitely out aswell.

Jimmy McNulty has come to County with an ankle injury and will train next week, but won’t feature against Notts County.

Leon McSweeney, Jamie Smith and Danny Pilkington could all feature though.

Player to watch: Anthony Pilkington

Pilkington has been on some hot form recently, and he was even hotter in the pre-season friendlies. Can play on either wing and upfront and will be dangerous to the Notts County defence.
