County play host to Accrington Stanley tonight at Edgeley Park, looking to extend our unbeaten run to five games.

Paul Turnbull saved The Hatters with a well-taken brace on Saturday as we came back from 2-0 down to grab a point against Aldershot at EP, which stretched the run to four without loss.

And Paul Simpson says he’s undecided whether to ‘throw the kitchen sink’ at Stanley tonight in hope of getting that elusive first home win of the season.

Vital Quotes:

Simpson: ‘We need to get a win, we want to get a win, but we also want to stay unbeaten and if it means with the same system to keep it tight then we’ll see what we do.’

‘The teams been thrown together in a short space of time and this moment in time we’re working with what we’ve got but I’d like to improve the squad even more.’

County Team News:

Jordan Rose is fit and looking for a starting place after a shaky defensive performance by duo Danny Swailes and Mani Assoumani on Saturday.

Left-back Robbie Williams is also fit, and he will be fighting for the left-back spot against the impressive Adam Griffin.

Griffin may be moved to left wing to accommodate the full-back.

Player to watch: Jake Simpson

The gaffer’s son. The reigning Shrewsbury Town Young Player of the Year changed the game on Saturday with two inch perfect assists to allow Turnbull to score, and he looks a real prospect out on the flank with pace and a good final ball.

Must be knocking on Dad’s door for a starting place tonight.

Accrington Team News:

‘Midfielder Chris Turner could be recalled into the Accrington starting XI after coming on as a substitute at the weekend.

Striker Craig Lindfield is pushing for a start up front after recovering from a knee injury.’

Player to watch: Sean McConville

The midfielder is Accy’s top scorer, after a hattrick in a 3-0 home win over Macclesfield a few weeks back and an equalising goal for The Stanley two weeks ago.
