Hatters boss Paul Simpson will be looking for the perfect response from his players after Tuesday nights 4-1 hammering away at Peterborough which came off the back of a 1-0 victory away at Bury.

County have been in inconsistent form of late yet despite this they sit just six points off a play-off place which is currently held by today’s visitors Torquay.

Torquay themselves will be looking to extend their run of just one defeat in eight away league two matches this campaign.

Paul Simpson after the midweek defeat to Posh

“We`ve been well and truly beaten in the end but we had chances to get ourselves a real foothold in the game but we didn`t take them.

”They`ve shown how to finish and unfortunately at any level of football goals change games and if you don`t take your chances you can virtually guarantee you are going to be punished for it.”

County Team News:

The Hatters could hand a debut to Tom Aldred who joined on loan from Watford last week.

However, Simpson has admitted in recent weeks he has become more and more happy with his team and therefore he could be tempted to stick with the same side for a fourth game in a row.

Player to watch: Paul Turnbull

The Hatters captain had a somewhat shaky start to the season and has been criticised by a large section of the County faithful (including us here at Vital Football)

The gaffer however insists he has full confidence in his skipper.

Torquay Team News:

Torquay wil have striker Chris Zebriski available after he completed a one-match ban.

The away side however, will be without Lloyd Macklin who completes a three-match ban whilst defender Danny Senda remains sidelined with an ongoing hamstring injury.

Player to watch: Elliot Benyon

The Torquay striker is having a very good season and could well take advantage of a shaky Hatters defence.
