I interview a Bury fan as part of the season preview, asking how things will go at Gigg Lane this season.
Tell us a bit about your season last season firstly. Would you say it was a success or failure? Did you achieve anything throughout the season, and were the fans happy with the end result?
A definite failure, ok I wasn`t expecting a top three finish but after the season before I wasn`t expecting another relegation battle.
Obviously every close season sees players leave. Who left your club and were you happy with the decision to let those players go by your boss?

I was pretty much happy with this, apart from John Fitzgerald who I thought was a very solid defender, however all the others were not going to take this club any further.
So obviously, with players going out, some have got to come in. Who has come in for you, and do you expect them to do well? Tell us a bit about these lads?

Jim looks so far a very cable goalkeeper, who we haven`t had since Glyn Garner left, Ben and Paul are from the Keith connection as you probably already know. I`m not to sure about Ben looks like he will make too many mistakes, hopefully he will prove me wrong. Paul Morgan on the other hand looks like a very solid defender. Andy and Ben were picked up from Accrington and a Sunday league team respectively, we will have to see during the season how these two will effect the team but at the moment I would say that they wont be very good signings.
Who are going to be your star players this season then? Who`s going to get the goals, and who`s going to stop them?
Andy Bishop will be the one who gets our goals, Glynn Hurst as well. Hopefully we get in another striker as well.
Season ticket sales help the club at the beginning of the season to stabilise the place and give it a bit of extra income. How many season tickets have your club shifted these season so far, and what do you expect the average attendance to be throughout the season?
I expect our attendance to be in the region on 2,200 maybe 2,500+ if we are doing well.
Tell us a bit about your gaffer and his backroom staff. Do the fans like the gaffer, or can you see him being out of a job after a run of bad results?
Well Casper has to do well this season or else its “see you later” and with Keith Alexander waiting in the wings it could only be a matter of time.
As well as Keith, we have another former Lincoln Coach Gary Simpson who will coach the youth team and be a Scout for our club, already; he has found Ben Leonard from a Sunday league team so we will see how this player turns out for us.
This question is split into two. What do you BELIEVE your club can achieve this season, and what do you HOPE your club can achieve this season?
I think we can achieve mid-table to be honest, we seemed to have tightened our defence so we wont be letting in silly goals, however going forward we have not got many options so this could be a disaster. I hope we could finish top halfish this for me would be a good season for the club.
Finally, whom do you expect to win the division, who do you think will go up with them and who do you think will be relegated?
Hmm, Rotherham seemed to have built up a very good squad this summer as well as Shrewsbury.
