We talk to VitalYeovils’ Editor on how he thinks they will far this season in League One.

How long have you supported your team?

Since I was a mascot against Macclesfield in March 1989 at the tender age of 6. We won 2-0. I’ve been hooked ever since.

Five words to describe last season?

Only one needed: Underachieved.

Best point of last season?

There wasn’t a lot of highlights. But beating Swansea at the Liberty to ensure safety was a good one. Twas a strange day, we beat them but they became champions, so everyone was happy.

Strength of last season?

Our ability to perform well against the better teams, nearly a quarter (23%) of our total points last season, came against the top 4.
Weakness of last season?
Our ability to concede late goals to turn wins to draws and draws to defeats which was unexpected given that the previous season we had the joint best defence in the league.

Current terrace favourite in your side?

Not my particular favourite but Terry Skiverton, starting his 10th season at the club this year, a lesson for some of those overpaid “stars” that we see on the box.

One player you`d happily drive to his next club?

Crikey, we don`t have enough players as it is. We are down to 16 players and currently without a keeper, although Begovic will sign later this week.

One thing you would tell your team`s manager?

Ignore the boo boys, most of us will “keep the faith” you got us to Wembley on the verge of the Championship and you can do it again.

Young player to look out for this season?

This is difficult as we have started to assemble an exciting, younger looking squad. Left Back Nathan Smith signed from non-league Potters Bar oozes potential as does Right Back Lee Peltier, both are only 21.

Hope for this season?

Winning the title. Isn`t that what all supporters hope for pre-season? Visiting Wembley again would be great as would a good cup run.
Expectation for this season?
To improve on last season. We have assembled a squad that is younger than last year and is bursting at the seams with potential.

Who is going to win League One?

Leeds.By far the best squad in League 1, 5 quality strikers at the club as well.

Who is going down?

Walsall, Stockport, Hereford and Cheltenham in that order i.e. Chelts to finish bottom. I honestly think you guys will find it tougher than your wave of optimism makes you believe.

Where will you finish?

Higher than the bookies expect, a solid 10th. If we can find a consistent goal scorer then the play-offs could beckon.
