The powers at Stockport County have come up with a fantastic idea for the Northampton away game on Easter Monday (17th April).

They are going to introduce a special ?ghost train?, renamed after County boss Jim Gannon?s ability to ?ghost? in at the back post, to ferry County fans from Stockport to Northampton and back.

County used to own their own train back in the seventies and eighties named the County arrow which used to make its way to the away games.

All the coaches are going to be cancelled, and 700 County fans are able to fit onto the special train.

The train will cost £19 for adults and £14 for under 16?s (does not include tickets) and you will be booked on when purchasing your tickets from Edgeley Park.

Tickets at Northampton cost £14.50 for adults and £10 for under 16?s and concessions (all-ticket). The capacity for the away end is 850, with an extra 300 seats available if needed.

There is a slight walk involved from the train station (20-30 minutes), but there are a few pubs around and there are buses that take you to near Sixfields.

For the train to go ahead, it needs interest so please register your interest by e-mailing the club at stockport.county@btinternet.com.
