County have signed winger Danny Schofield from Rotherham on loan until the end of the season. Schofield is 32-years-old and made 41 first-team appearances for Rotherham last season. This season he has not really featured for the Millers though, spending three months on loan at League Two side Accrington earlier this season

Danny has spent the best part of ten years with Huddersfield Town and has also had spells at Yeovil Town and Millwall. So, another experienced player arrives, following on from the arrival of Fleetwood defender Kieran Charnock yesterday.

It is welcome news, bolstering the squad with seasoned professionals given our proximity to the drop zone.

A bit different from when Mr Gannon managed us a few months ago though, when the name of the game was reduction in budget. I suppose Mr Fearn has found a bit of extra bunce down the back of the Edgeley Park sofa!

Or something.

Welcome to Edgeley Park Danny. Looking forward to seeing what you can do.

Cropped.
