County – Top 5 shirts

Following on from my memorabilia section (see article here, I have decided to list my top 5 county shirts, I have collected about 30 over the years that are all 1995 or onwards.

They are either match worn (they have come direct from the player) or signed by the team.



5) I have a shirt from the 1996 / 1997 promotion season.

I remember when this shirt came out and it looked like someone has sprayed white over the blue.

It was made by adidas which was fancy to me with the previous shirt being made by M and my Mum and Dad bought me the replica as soon as it came out. I have fond memories of great players who wore that shirt.



4) The 2008 Gold shirt is another nice shirt.

Gold can be a funny colour to wear but the fact that we never lost a game when wearing it and we also got promotion that season adds value to it.

I have this shirt signed by the full team and manager and its long sleeve which you don`t get many of.



3) Another shirt I like is the pre season 2011 green and black shirt, there were only 25 made (this is number 23) and I have it signed by the squad as well.

I think this shirt was only used in one or two games. This was a Nike shirt and the same template was used for the 2012/2013 third shirt but in gold.



2) When I first saw the 2009 / 2010 bright orange away kit I hated it, it grew on me and now its one of my favourites although I admit I would never have the guts to wear it.

It`s very bright and brash and was made by Macron, I have the long sleeve version that was player issued (has the league badges on the sleeves) and is signed by the full team.



1) This is my favourite shirt at the moment as I think its really different to most others I`ve seen, the black Richard Landon Benefit match shirt was a one off where only 20 were made, this ones number 5 and was worn by Tunji Moses and has gold lettering and a gold badge.

Its black checked at the top if you look closely in a certain light as well, it also has a slight grass sign which adds to the effect and no replicas have been made so far.
