County take on Ilkeston in the 3rd qualifying round of the F.A. Cup tomorrow (Saturday). It is a three o’clock kick off at Edgeley Park where it is forecast to be bright with the chance of a teeny, little rain shower and quite mild. Oh, and it is just a tenner for adults, £7 Concessions (65+, Students, 18-21 and disabled supporters), £3 for 11-17 year olds, and children age 10 and under are £1.

You can pay cash at the gate or buy from the Ticket Office – so if you haven’t got down to Edgeley Park this season this is the perfect opportunity to see County in the FA Cup.

If we do manage to get past Ilkeston (a town between Derby and Nottingham – but you knew that anyway didn’t you?) .. we go into the 4th and final qualifying round, possibly against a Conference Premier side and one step away from Football League opposition. Like Crawley. Or, Portsnouth… yes, that would be more like it.

Anyway there is a pot of money for winning this tie, £7500, which given our current circumstance would be a welcome shot in the arm for the club

Now, onto pods. County fans will be able to donate to Alan Lord’s ‘Players Fund’ on matchdays following the delivery of collection pods to Edgeley Park.

In other news, the Bungalow club (‘The Bung’) is now resplendent in white and blue, and 50p a pint goes to Alan Lords players fund (over and above the usual amount of beer sales… which from my experience was not that great in recent times).

I believe there may be pies available also. Just hope the ale is decent…

Hats off to the Help The Hatters guys and gals who have transformed the place. More on the fantastic job HtH do here
