Jesus, how long ago does Wembley seem now? Today, as County lose again to extend the winless run to eleven matches, we’re given a wave on the way down to League Two by Rochdale, promoted to League One for the first time in over 40 years.

And to think, it was only less than two years ago that we were comprehensively out-playing our neighbours in a glorious play-off final win at Wembley. And now they’re waving to us on their way up.

Despite that, I am pleased for them and Keith Hill, who is a very good manager and has built a good team there, along with his assistant Dave Flitcroft.

I do think the wheels are coming off a bit at Spotland though, and they will be back with us in League Two in no time, but you have to say well done and congratulations.

Stevenage were today promoted to League Two, while Notts County also won promotion to League One.

It’s looking slightly less northern-based for us in League Two now, but still with some good away games in there it should be alright!

County lost – obviously – again today, going down 2-0 to a Leyton Orient side who are now all but safe from the drop.

Match report to follow.
