Finger to Gainsborough?

County are away at Gainsborough Trinity this Saturday (October 3rd) for a 3 p.m. kick-off.

Gainsborough as we all now know (as we get familiar with the Division 6 north itinerary), is a small Lincolnshire town, 18 miles north west of the city of Lincoln.

And furthermore, amaze your friends with the fact that at one time the town was Englands most inland port with a distance of 55 miles to the sea. Since then I guess the river Trent must have been filled up with shopping trollies and silt.

‘Trinity’or ‘The Holy Blues’ reside in mid-table with 13 goals scored and 13 conceded.

This is exactly the type of Game County need to win if we are serious about escaping the regional nature of football at the level.

Given County’s less than stellar goal-scoring and reasonably tight defence I see few goals.

County to edge past with a welcome 1-0 away win?
