Michael Symes and Mark Hughes have both returned to their owner’s after completing their month long loan’s at Edgeley Park.

Michael Symes just played 14 minutes of football in a one month spell at Edgeley Park, something which bemused Bradford City boss Colin Todd.

He told bradfordcityfc.com ‘I can’t understand them taking Michael on loan and then not playing him.’

When Symes did make his 14 minute appearance against Torquay, he looked liked he was lacking in fitness.

Another of County loanee has also returned back home this week. Mark Hughes, who impressed during his time in defence, has returned to Goodison Park to receive treatment for a back problem.

‘He’s back at Everton now and we’ll have to see over the next couple of weeks how the injury settles down,’ Gannon said.

‘He’s a great lad and he made a big contribution in the three games he played. We’ll just have to see what happens because Everton may want to be cautious with him but we would welcome him back.’

County also have a player out on loan still. Chris Williams is out at Northwich Victoria, and Jim Gannon has yet to make a decision as to whether the loan is allowed to be extended.

He added: ‘We’re considering that at the moment but there’s been no decision yet. It would be on a recall basis because we want to go into the last eight or nine games with as strong a squad as possible.’
