American forward Jemal Johnson is ready and fit to face Millwall tomorrow as he returns from a hamstring strain that sidelined him for three weeks.

Just as Johnson seemed to be settling into his role in the County side, out on the right-hand side, he pulled up holding his groin against Bristol in a 1-0 defeat and had to be taken off to prevent further damage.

Physio Roger Wylde originally hoped that the MK Don’s loanee would only need to sit out County’s next two fixtures, but ‘JJ’ was forced out of the past four games, in which County have found the net not once.

But he returned to training last Thursday, and although he wasn’t ready to face Brentford at Edgeley Park in the disappointing defeat, he is now fit to start on the right at the New Den.

In more good news for Gary Ablett, Johnson’s fellow MK Don’s loanee Danny Swailes is available for selection after he saw out his one-match ban for a straight red against Oldham for a professional foul two weeks ago.

David Perkins is still a doubt for the match with bruising on the knee after he picked up a knock last week.
