Jemal Johnson has been ruled out for up to three weeks after picking up a knock in the defeat at Bristol on Tuesday night.

The American limped off in the first half and was replaced by the already injured Richie Partridge.

After physio Rodger Wylde diagnosed a ‘grade 1’ hamstring injury (never heard of it either!), Jemal was officially ruled out of County’s next three games, Charlton, Gillingham, and Oldham.

Wylde was more concerned as Johnson has never experienced this type of injury before – in some cases, if players have a recurrence of the same injury, it is easier to treat.
