Peter Thompson grabbed a brace for County today as the Hatters thrashed Nostell Miners Welfare at the Crofton Community Centre today.

Thompson grabbed two, youngster Tom Fisher grabbed two and former Nostell striker Oli Johnson helped himself to a goal against his old team.

David Poole, back on trial with County along with Adam Griffin, made the first half line up in Gary Ablett’s second game in charge of County.

Owain fon Williams suffered a nasty head cut late on but should be fit for the start of the season. New signing Paul Gerrard will deputise if not.

After a goalless first half, the pink and black striped Hatters helped themselves to five goals in the second 45 minutes.
