Press Conference at 2pm Today

A Press Conference is to take place at 2pm today at Edgeley Park to unveil what the club call a ‘major announcement’.

The Conference will take place with members of the local press in attendance along with a handful of press from the likes of Sky Sports and BBC Radio.

The club only say that it is to reveal a major announcement, while we understand that Ray Mathias left his position as manager of SCFC last night. As of this morning, Mathias was taking training sessions at Manor Farm.

Didi Hamann is expected to be announced as manager, with Tony Evans taking the chairman’s seat in the boardroom. An influx of signings has been reported as well.

We know there’s a lot of rumours and ‘we understand this, we have been told that’ etcetera, but the club are remaining very tight-lipped on the issue. All shall be revealed in just over an hour!
