Reaction To Ribeiro Signing

We get some fans reactions of the signing of Bristol City defender Christian Ribeiro, from both County and City fans alike.

The 19-year old defender goes straight into the squad for tomorrow’s bug clash with Exeter City, and all indications point to him being a very good signing, if only in the short term.

Bristol City fans had this to say:

‘Great young player, was on the brink of breaking into our starting 11 last season but his cruciate injury crocked him until a few months ago. League experience should do him a world of good.’

‘Fantastic young prospect. Injured his cruciate on his senior debut in the League Cup against Peterborough last season, but returned at the end of the season and has been in and around the squad all season. Unlucky not to have played more games for us, especially with Orr out injured, but the experience should do him good.

Been very impressive in the Welsh under 21’s and got a call up to the senior squad with a good performance against Italy U21’s.

Main position is right back, but is comfortable at centre back too. Nicknamed ‘Russian Robot’.’

He was M.O.M against Ajax pre season. Looked first class.
