We open this update with a reminder that the most important event in the Stockport County Supporters Cooperative calendar occurs in just over a fortnights time.

It is of course the AGM which this year, as last, takes place at the Bungalow on Hardcastle Road, commencing at 7.30 pm on Thursday 19 November.

If you are considering standing for election to the board of the Cooperative, please note that you have until 5pm on 16 November to submit your completed nomination form.
Please make every effort to attend if you can, and play your part in moving us forward.

The Supporters Cooperative Raises the Issues that concern You.

On Monday 2 November , Board Members of the Supporters Cooperative met with Mr Steve Bellis , representing the Board of Stockport County , the object being to raise issues of concern to our membership.

This is how the meeting went…..

Stewarding. Concerns were raised about stewarding particularly at away games. SB said he was aware of the issues and would raise the matter with the Safety Group.

Catering. For our part we expressed dissatisfaction with the standard of catering at Edgeley Park. SB requested that full details be sent to the Club in letter form. This we agreed to do.

Loans. The Co-op have requested an update to the Outstanding Loans situation at the Club and will be following this up by contacting the relevant people, thanking them for their investment and seeking Clarity with regard to their current position.

Shares. We highlighted the need for an effective and simple mechanism to deal with conversion of PF cash into Coop shares in the Club, and the possible issue of a `share cert` or similar. SB agreed to look at this, along with the idea that shares be allocated should the supporters group donate moneys towards capital projects at EP.
After a question from us ,SB also agreed to inquire as to when the next Shareholders Meeting might be.

Supporters Coop Survey . We asked whether the Club was up to speed with this. SB said the Club was aware of the Survey which he agreed was excellent work, which would be discussed at the next meeting of the Club Board.

Hatters Half Marathon 2016 the Co-op updated the Club with the feedback from this Year’s Half Marathon and also gave an update of the plans for next year’s race including the provisional date, stating we want to work closely with the Club to make the 2016 event bigger and better.

Club Board Meeting . This was set for Thursday 19 November at 4pm.

And Finally…… This Thursday 5 November the Supporters Cooperative and Help the Hatters are staging a repeat of another very successful event from last year the Community Bonfire.
This takes place behind the Bungalow on Hardcastle Road again, and should be a great event.

From 6pm in the Bung, top band Blossoms will be present to sign autographs. The band will also do the honours for us and light the fire( around 7pm)…so…what’s not to like!?

See you from 6 on Thursday then!
