The Stockport County Charity Cricket Match which last took place in 2008 is set to return.

This year’s event will be held at Offerton Cricket Club on Sunday 10th July from 1pm in aid of local Stockport charity Jump Space, past and present players have been invited to attend and play. The day is set to be a fun day for all the family and the Supporters Alliance hopes this will mark the welcome return of this as an annual event.

It’s free entry for juniors, and there will be many activities to keep the young ones entertained; for grown-ups, there will of course be a barbecue and bar!

The Supporters Alliance are now asking for advertisers for the match programme, raffle prize donations and anyone wishing to help by displaying posters or selling raffle tickets and programmes. In addition, supporters willing to volunteer to put up posters promoting the event are asked to contact jack.byrne40@ntlworld.com.

Ed – You should really try and get down there, it’s always a fantastic day and a great way for the players to meet and mingle with the fans. Sunny weather and cheap beer as well!
