County are calling on fans to help out and fill the roles of turnstile operators on matchdays for this season at Edgeley Park.

Under Tony Evans, County are looking for 26 volunteers to work the turnstiles every matchday for free, with the reward of a free match ticket.

Evans tweets that fans working in this role for free will save the club around £30k per year.

The Liverpudlian investor has also been asking for fans help with stewarding for this season.

Any fans should contact jwright@stockportcounty.com for more details.

Hope you don’t mind SCFC friends but I’ve just started a Danny Pilkington thread in the forum as he has today joined YCFC.

Any feedback would be appreciated and then when I’ve seen him myself I will come back and put you straight!

All the best for tomorrow and I hope the club isn’t refunding too many fans after you take on the Fleet.

Danny was tipped to be better than his brother Anthony, but he broke his leg and was never the same afterward. Lost a yard of pace, but his final ball has always been good. He parted ways with us amicably (a League Two relegation battle didn’t suit a flair kind of player like DP) and I hope he does well.

If only Pilky didn’t break his leg. Then again I bet he would of also been sold to Huddersfield haha.

As for helping, I wish I could but I can’t. But I’m still encouraging fans to help especially if that free ticket offer after working is still on!
