Danny L Rowe. What’s up?

One player that has hardly featured so far this season is Daniel L Rowe.

Rowe who is on loan from Fleetwood was a real star for The Hatters last season but now cannot even make it into the starting 11.

Danny scored 8 goals in 12 for County last term and this season has scored one in several appearances for County, leading me to ask why Danny has not played more of a part in Jim`s plans this season?

Following his success last term (in which Danny left the club as the top goal scorer), shouldn’t we have seen more of him?

Danny last made a appearance for The Hatters against Wrexham and does not look as sharp as last season and I feel that the striker is somewhat out of form leading to Jim putting others like Danny Whitehead and Tom Collins ahead of the striker who is on loan with The Hatters until January 2013.

What are your thoughts? Why do you think Danny is not getting his chance?

I think you said it all ed. Not as sharp as last season. Perhaps (if DLR is available) we could not afford any trasfer fee so why not focus on those players who will be around for more than one or two seasons? Either that or he has got on the wrong side of Jim, perhaps he broke his new Sky box?

I am sure he has his part to play.

There are many reasons why he is not having the same impact as last season, far too many to list here. We as fans do not see what goes on behind closed doors so for us its sheer speculation. He certainly hasn’t shown the touch he had last season. He looks to me as though he is carrying a bit more weight. It could be a fitness thing. Or maybe its an attitude thing. You know how big JG is on attitude and work ethic. He may have thought he would come back and walk straight back into the side. The team this year is far better than last season and will get better still so players are having to fight for places especially the forwards.

If he has a fitness problem that is not down to niggling injuries then Jim and Co. should sort it out double quick. I think we will see more of him as players get knocks over the next few weeks and opportunities appear. He has to cut the mustard though. Competition for places is something we have not had much of recently.
