Player-Coach Tony ‘Dindo’ Dinning has left the club by mutual consent after he fell out of favour as a player, with Greg Tansey, Jason Taylor, Dom Blizzard and Gary Dicker all ahead of him in the pecking order. Dinning did have a contract as a Coach, but obviously has not done enough to keep himself established with the backroom staff.
Dinning said, “I am very sad to leave County as I have enjoyed my association with them. However, I need to be playing and now hope to get a chance of first-team football elsewhere. I wish County all the best for the season and thank the fans for their support.”
Dinning made nearly 265 appearances for County, and became somewhat a County legend after his penalty to beat City 2-1 in the dying moments of the game some years back.
Good luck Dindo, wherever you go!
