Wingers David Poole and Adam Griffin will miss out on Saturday when County host Gillingham at Edgeley Park in the first match of a must-win period of three home matches for the Hatters.

We come up against Gillingham tomorrow, followed by Oldham on Tuesday night and Brentford next Saturday, making it three home ties for Gary Ablett’s men in the space of seven days.

Some good news at last came out of the EP camp today when we all remembered that David Poole will be missing as he serves the second match of his two-game ban for a sending off in the 4-1 defeat at Swindon.

In what was listed as a ‘blow’ on the County official site, Adam Griffin will also be out of action, missing six weeks due to a double hernia that needs operating on. Good luck to Adam in his recovery but hardly a massive loss, the two inspired signings made by our erstwhile leader Mr Melrose.

The news of the failed takeover deal again today will, once again, throw a loaf of negative energy over the Edgeley Park crowd tomorrow, which we could seriously do without in this big three-match spell.

Come on County.
