Matty Mainwaring re-joined the Hatters for the third time last month and since his arrival it there has been an obvious improvement in the team.
Matty who had been training with County all summer was included in the squad in September on a non-contract basis.
Since Matty`s arrival along side with Paul Turnbull County have been a lot stronger in midfield and have really been competitive in the middle of the park. In the last three games Matty`s ability has been clear, he has been linking up brilliantly with Sean Newton on the left wing giving County a real attacking threat.
Jim has told The Manchester Evening News that he would like to secure Matty on a long term deal at the club, Jim said ‘I’m looking to secure the finances to take him on a permanent contract,’ he added.
‘He’s been brilliant in terms of playing for nothing so I’m looking to secure him a wage and contract security given his recent performances.’
With this in mind County can be hoping for on the pitch success if Matty keeps up his fine form. That is if we can afford him!
Keep it up Matty!

No idea where we are up to with finance. A few weeks ago people were talking of next years season tickets going on sale in January due to a financial imperative. Is that still the case? Could we afford MM or is it one wage in one wage out? As long as we don’t go back to spending more than we can afford.
