Stockport County are looking to break a club record and make it eight straight away wins on the trot tomorrow against Lincoln City.

Lincoln have won their last three home games against Wycombe, Macclesfield and Rochdale. They have also won seven out of their last nine. The two defeats came against Chesterfield and Rotherham.

Peter Jackson is the man in charge at Lincoln this season after they sacked John Schofield early in the season.

Jackson lead Lincoln to a 3-1 win over County in November, at a time when a change of manager may have been possible at Edgeley Park as County were on a run of five straight home defeats.

Just four of the players that started against Lincoln City at Edgeley Park are likely to start tomorrow.

Vital Quotes:

Jim Gannon on Liam Dickinson: ‘We refer to Liam as the point attacker which in coaching terms is the one who stretches the game for us,’

‘But he works so hard for the team defensively as well. He is very important to us.’

‘Last year we had several players on loan return to their clubs and a lot of injuries and suspensions, which undermined the consistency of the team.

‘This time it is important we are able to maintain our discipline and fitness, to ensure we are not as vulnerable as last year to changes.’

Lincoln City Team News:

From the Views Of The Opposition.

Will anybody be missing out that would normally feature on Saturday?

Quite a few. Frecklington – who is our star midfield player. Ridley in defence, John-Lewis in attack/ midfield, Stallard through suspension. ‘

Player to watch: Jamie Forrester

It’s predictable that one should go for the top scorer of a side.

However Forrester scored the goal that gave Lincoln a 1-0 win over rivals Notts County on Tuesday night.

He is small, quick and strong. Last season he was marked out of both games by Ashley Williams but it will be another interesting battle to watch tomorrow.

Stockport County Team News:

Jim Gannon is set to go with the same side that has won the last three games for County.

The only changes may be on the bench.

Player to watch: Ashley Williams

Williams will have a tough job marking Forrester as I said above.

This is the key battle I would say and it will be interesting to watch.
