We talk to Lincoln City fan ‘niceimp’ ahead of Stockport County’s trip to Sincil Bank tomorrow.

What’s your recent form like?

Decent. A lot more wins than losses.

You got rid of Schofield back in 2007 and appointed Peter Jackson. What do you make of Jackson so far and is he the man to finally take Lincoln out of League Two?

Has been instrumental in the turn-around in our fortunes. Largely working with the same set of players but had the courage and vision to show confidence in young players (John-Lewis, Hone, Clarke) while getting rid of some dead wood. Knows what it takes to get out of this league. Hopefully, will be fit and well to do so next season.

What were your expectations at the start of the season and have they changed now?

Another promotion push; now happy to settle for mid-table obscurity. Relieved to be (almost) clear of relegation!

How do you see Lincoln closing the season out?

Building for next season; blooding more youngsters from our excellent academy.

Who have been your key players this season?

No-one in particular stands out but Green has come on in leaps and bounds and Kerr has shown what captaincy is all about. The progress of the youngsters is the biggest plus.

Will anybody be missing out that would normally feature on Saturday?

Quite a few. Frecklington – who is our star midfield player. Ridley in defence, John-Lewis in attack/ midfield, Stallard through suspension.

Where should County fans drink before Saturday’s game?

The bars at Sincil Bank to aid next season’s promotion push!!

Prediction?!

Score-draw (2-2)
