Main return?

Stockport County may be on the brink of signing Matty mainwaring for the third time following the central midfielders release from Hull Fc earlier this year. Mainwaring spent a month on trial at Scunthorpe United in July but subsequently as not offered a deal to stay on the Northern side.

If Mainwaring joined County it would be his third time with the club since 2008 when he first joined form Preston North End. Mainwaring went on to become a first team sensation in his first season, this was before he obtained a injury in 2009 meaning he was out for the whole season. Mainwaring was released from County in 2011 under Didi Hamann where he was paid off by the club in order to release his services.
Matty rejoined The Hatters in February in a loan deal until April where Matty helped to keep his former side in the Blue Square Premier.

There are rumours that matey could return to County on a non-contract basis in order to be match fit for any other club that could be interested in the player.
