Our New Club Board…

So let’s just have a quick look at the new Club Board which has been announced today by Pure Radio.

In chairman is Alwin Thompson, once-chairman of Interlink Food Cake Makers who resigned from his position due to health. Alwin ‘The Cake’ Thompson. Yum. Cake.

Thompson is joined on the board by CEO Sean Connolly. The Gibbons, Mary and Tony, will be vice-chairwoman and Director respectively. Pete Wilson, who would be better known to us all as the bloke who did the commentary and ran the club shop a few years back, is Company Secretary and brew-maker.

And they will be joined by ex-Chief Exec of County/Cheshire Sport Kevan Taylor, and Lord Peter Snape.

Moving on slightly, commiserations to Des Hinks who has ‘lost’ his job as editor of Stockport County’s official website. Hinks commentates on County games with Jon Keighren on Pure week in, week out and it is unclear whether he will continue to do so. Pete Wilson will have a hand in the running of County’s site from now on.
