Pilkington Called Up To Ireland Squad

Anthony Pilkington has been surprisingly called up to the Republic of Ireland under 21 squad for their game against Lithuania on Tuesday night of next week.

County midfielder Stephen Gleeson is also in the squad.

It comes as a surprise as nobody really knew of Pilkington’s Irish Status.

Both players should be able to play on Saturday, though if they weren’t available then the game could be called off as County already have two players on international duty.
