Rovers Build The Pressure

A Sean Rigg 76th minute winner for Bristol Rovers meant that they closed the gap on County to just one point with two games remaining.

In the other game tonight Shrewsbury were beaten by Wrexham, meaning that Shrewsbury did not pull away from County and Bristol Rovers.

Macclesfield are now once again dragged back into the relegation fight with a huge game against Accrington Stanley on Saturday.

It means that it is very likely that County could go into the last weekend needing a result to secure a play-off place.

However, if Bristol Rovers lose on Saturday and County win, then a play-off place for County will be secure.

It is all very interesting, and this time it is at the other end of the table!

Good point at the end. All very tight but this time at the right end of the table. Bury are safe, what have they to play for. Lets hope they rol over.

Looking at the table following Wrexhams win, Bury do have a hell of a lot riding on this match. This is not going to be easy. 1-0 victory will be enough for me.

If we win on Saturday, Rovers will have to win, if they lose we will be in the play-offs definitely, and if they drew they’d be 3 points and (at least) three goals behind us, they’d be hoping for us to lose to Darlington on last day of the season and they’d have to overturn those three+ goals, a decent or big win for us and a draw for Rovers would basically do it for us.
