Tomorrow night will see Stockport County and Grimsby Town battle it out for a place in the Northern Final of the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy at Edgeley Park.

County have come through three rounds via a bye, an then away wins at Macclesfield (1-0) and Carlisle United (3-0), and now we have our first home match in the competition.

Grimsby have beaten Huddersfield, Rotherham and holders Doncaster Rovers. Grimsby won the Rotherham and Doncaster games on penalties, and also thrashed League One outfit Huddersfield 4-1.

That leaves four League Two teams to contest the remainder of the Northern Section of the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy, with Morecambe and Bury joining County and Grimsby.

The game tomorrow night kicks off at 7:15pm. That is half an hour earlier to encourage children to attend with the game being on a school night, the game also goes straight to penalties and there will not be any extra time.

Ticket prices have been slashed, with Adult Season Ticket holders able to gain entry for just £5. Normal adults have been handed a £10 entry fee, it is £5 for under 16s, though Under 16s with a full paying adult will be given free entry to the ground.

So get yourself down there, there has to be a result on the night so its bound to be an exciting night! 7:15 kick off, Edgeley Park, Stockport County V Grimsby Town.
