Stevie G Finally Signs

Wolves midfielder Stephen Gleeson has finally completed his move to County in time for Saturday’s match.

Wolves had allowed Gleeson dispensation to play in Saturdays game against Man City, but the move had later been thrown into doubt as Wolves were stalling the move in order to try and get Gleeson to sign a new contract before he left for Edgeley Park.

Gleeson joins on a 6 month loan until January, meaning he will have been at County for about a year altogether in 3 loan spells with The Hatters. (Two 3 month spells, one 6 month spell.)

Gleeson, though, is a doubt for Saturday’s curtain raiser at The Galpharm with a toe injury in his striking foot. Gleeson was due to see a chiropodist on Thursday to have an injection. But the injury still leaves Gleeson with a 50-50 chance of playing.
