Former County targetman Tes Bramble has signed for Stevenage following his contract running out at Stockport County.

Jim Gannon did want to hold contract talks with Bramble, but was unable to get in contact with Tes.

‘He’s a strong player who could well cause teams a lot of problems when he get himself fully fit,’ Stevenage Boss Mark Stimson told his club’s website.

Bramble was at County for two seasons, and at first hardly anybody supported him. However when Jim Gannon was appointed he really turned around and was a valuable player when on the pitch. However, he never really gained all the fans support, as some continued to abuse him, something which would later tell as Bramble left County.

Since Jim Gannon has been in charge I have supported Bramble and thought he should have stayed at Edgeley Park, however I’d like to wish him all the best in his future career and thank him for his efforts at Edgeley Park.

It was clear Tes wasn’t part of Jim’s plans. Fair enough he wasn’t a prolific goalscorer but he did add something and would have been worth a place in my book….. but maybe at a more realistic salary from what I keep hearing. Interested to see how many he scores for Stevenage.
