Gary Ablett is preparing for the impending sales of key players in the County side once the transfer window opens, with Carl Baker thought to be one of the first out the door, with Coventry reportedly having agreed a deal with the Liverpudlian.
Deals will also be done that see Owain fon Williams, Michael Raynes, Johnny Mullins and maybe Michael Rose leaving the club with administrators Leonard Curtis hoping to raise funds before the takeover of the Melrose Consortium.
Manager Gary Ablett is preparing by hoping to bring in eight new faces from the team that went down to Leeds for the team that plays Bristol next Saturday, with Ablett hoping to ‘wheel and deal’ to fill up the admin-affected maximum 20 man squad the Hatters are allowed this season.
So, get ready for much transfer window movement in and out of Edgeley Park pretty soon!

A crazy, mad time ahead. Do not give us much hope of staying up this season. Will the changes made in Jan be enough to keep us in L2 next season is on my mind!
I am slightly shocked with that list i had come to terms with losing baker and raynes at the most but the other 3 too!!!! I’m shocked about rosey though,i pray to the heavens that he stays as in my opinion he is invaluable to us mullins also but he is far too good for us. I’m hearing that Jim Goodwin is on his way back to us and a loan deal to get Perkins from colchester too which is an up side but we do need to cling on to rosey,mullins and fon if possible. I like raynes but he isn’t captain material and is far too mistake prone for me.Lets hope the jan window doesn’t kill the playing squad and that we start getting points from our games. I O County
Goodwin wouldn’t be bad for us, is it just me that really really wants to see Jason Taylor back? Preferably as captain, he’s got the aggression and ability to do so, and he’s only on loan at ‘Dale, would he come back?

Jaybo would be great for us. This season is over so we need to think about our L2 survival campaign come August!
