County have confirmed improved bids for striker Ryan Lowe and Halifax forward Jamie Vardy, after both bids were rejected.

Whilst Bury rejected County’s two Lowe bids yesterday, The Hatters have gone in with a third bid this morning, worth around £100k.

And young striker Vardy scored 23 goals in 13 games last season for the Shaymen, and Halifax boss Neil Aspin said of SCFC’s bid this morning:

“Stockport made an offer which we have rejected as unacceptable and that’s it.”

“I have told Jamie that, so everyone is in the picture.”‘

“I do not like the fact that Stockport made the offer public.”

“But it will take a bigger club than Stockport County to make an offer that unsettles Jamie.”

Blimey. Who rattled his cage…

We made another bid anyway.

This comes after Sean McConville was revealed to be mulling over a contract offer from manager Didi Hamann, and reports in Oireland suggested we had signed left-back Joe Kendrick Jr late last night.

Looks like we mean business, could do with a couple of defenders & midfielders.

Does anyone know what sort of bids were made for these 2?

It’s such a rollercoaster, I’m getting excited that we appear to making bids for seemingly good players, then gutted to hear that they’re not getting accepted. But for once, I’m feeling optimistic…
