Paul Simpson will complete the loan signing of Jamie Proctor from our Carling Cup opponents of last night Preston North End on a 6-month loan deal – with Simpson hoping for the deal to be pushed through today.
The 6-month signing of winger/striker Proctor will be similar to that of George Donnelly’s, with both deals set to be extended until the end of the season after the initial 6 months is up.
Darren Ferguson and County boss Paul Simpson had talks after the 5-0 victory for Ferguson’s men last night at Edgeley Park, and they finalised the deal that allows County to bring in the 18-year-old.
Ferguson said last night:
“Jamie Proctor going on loan is something I’ve already spoken with Paul (Simpson) about and we’ve spoken again tonight.”
“We need to get some of the youngsters out on loan to help their development, and I’m sure Stockport will be a good experience for the lad.”

Just completed the signing I believe. Looks very impressive.
We still need one steely midfielder to break up play and one creative midfielder to push forward. Easy to say when your budget is (apparently) used up.
Really looking forward to Wycombe game. Lets get behind the lads and lets get the three points.
If we have got money to bring another forward in on loan then we need to make the money available to bring in some experienced midfielders.
Turnbull in midfield is a massive liability absolutely clueless, we will struggle with this guy in midfield, in my opinion he is nothing more than a half decent sunday league player at best, then we have Tansey who is constantly looking for the “50 yard camara pass” !!!!!!! when he clearly (nine times out of ten) doesn’t possess it. I know that Preston are two leagues above us but they looked lightyears away from us and they are Preston for goodness sake…….absolutely clueless performance from a midfield that is horrendous at best.
