The 2015 Group and media manager Phil Brennan have finally got control of County’s official website – COWS for short.

Fans had been voicing concerns about a lack of updates and information emanating from within the club, but obviously there has been no way so far for the club to announce important info as they had problems sorting out the contract with the Football League to use the website. Or something.

But today, COWS has come back online and had two updates for fans.

The first being an update on season tickets for the 2010/11 season, and an announcement that existing season ticket holders from the 2009/10 season have until the 9th of July to claim a discount on their season tickets for the upcoming season. Also, info is given on ticket prices for next season, which you can see now by going over to www.stockportcounty.com.

Secondly, County will play SPL side Inverness Caledonian Thistle in a pre-season friendly on July 26th at Wincham Park, home of Witton Albion FC. Kick-off is 7:45pm, with ticket prices at £10 for adults and £5 for children and concessions.

Get down there and see how our new team shapes up!

Erm, what would that “new team” be, pray tell? Presumably this will be a 5-a-side match….. And why at Witton Albion? Or is this a case of lettting the grass grow, but not under our feet?

What a bitch, Caley Thistle are 20 mins from my front door by car and the buggers an away game???????????????? I’ve admired Terry Butcher for a while now but maybe that’s about to end

Calliope – The match is at Witton because the EP pitch won’t be ready I believe.

That´s sort of what I meant by my last sentence, scfcsam! Question remains: who set this one up? And how many away fans will be expected?!?

Would have been a belter of a pre-Season tour if we could have lined up say, Inverness CT, Ross County and er… another team from the north of Scotland and played up there. As it is, Witton Albions ground.. maybe not.

Nearest half decent team would be Perth but that’s heading down the way, slightly east of me you could get Nairn County or Forres Mechanics (wonderful name and they’ve a half decent pitch as well) from the Highland league, good chance of a win with these two.

Witton Albion/Wincham Park ? Not the best ground for our 1st home friendly! I would of hoped for somewhere more local so we could have a good crowd to greet our ‘NEW?’ manager! !!

Curious about Fon leaving on a FREE!!
