A fourth departure has gone through today as Danny O’Donnell has left Edgeley Park and joined Barrow on a four month contract taking him to the end of the season.

O’Donnell joined County towards the end of our tenure in the Football League and was part of Ray Mathias’ side who attempted to keep County up.

His hard working style was his main feature, and he was an honest player who always gave his all for the County cause.

He had injury problems through the majority of the two years, making just 46 starts in two years at the club.

We wish him all the best at Barrow – surely this means we are due some incomings soon!

Aye. All the best Danny. Bit sad to seem him go I must say but Jim is exacting a mini-revolution this Jan I reckon.

Solid defender, good awareness. On the one hand I’m sorry to see him go. On the other he is injury prone. You need your defenders particularly your central defenders to form long lasting partnerships to create an understanding. Our costant changes in the back 4 has cost us this season.

… latest is that he hasn’t gone yet. Going, going…..?
