News that I for one had not anticipated for a moment but Jason Taylor, one of County’s crop of young midfield players has been sold to Rotherham, for what reports are saying is a free transfer.

I am a bit surprised there was no fee but on reflection IF the club are looking to buy during the window or merely trim the wage bill I can see some sense in this move.

For me, Jaybo looked more suited to life in League Two and what with the abundance of midfield players at EP (even though Gleeson’s loan has expired), he may have struggled to feature.

Shame we never had time to say goodbye. He had his ups and downs in form (which player doesn’t) but Jason Taylor never gave anything less than 100% when wearing the blue and white (or Gold) of Stockport County.

And for that I will remember him fondly.

Good luck with the Millers!

What I wonder, will be the next move in or out at Edgeley Park?

(If you have any thoughts on this matter or in fact any County article you want writing then how about becoming a contributor to this site…. you may even get a free half of bitter in the Armoury)
