With 4 out of the five teams below County playing tonight it was vital that results went County’s was to ensure COunty did not entre the relegation zone.

The following results went in County’s favour as Kettering lost 3-1 at home to Forrest Green whilst Mansfield thrashed Darlington 5-2 at home and Tamworth beat Newport 2-1 at home.

Hayes and Yeading did pick up a 1-0 victory against Bath City but this did not affect County.

As it stnds now Kettering, Hayes and Yeading and Bath have 1 game in hand of The Hatters and Alfreton have two games in hand, with just two points separating 5 league places.

    Could have been a lot worse. Heart sunk when Darlo went 1 up though, but all’s well that end’s well (Hayes excepted). Still shows how crucial it is to pick up something from the Wrexham game. A point on Saturday would be very decent. Going to be a near 5,000 gate?

    We need 3 points from that game cropped to ensure we keep our heads above the bottom teams. 1 point at this stage of the season is 2 points nearer the drop.
