Mr P Miller will take charge of Stockport County’s first game in the 2008/2009 season away to Huddersfield.

Mr Beswick and Mr Lawson are the two men running the line and Mr England is the fourth official.

Mr Miller’s last Football League game was a game that involved County, the 0-0 draw away at Wycombe in the league on the 24th March last season.

Strangely that was his last Football League game for that season.

Mr Miller was the referee who kickstarted the famous nine game run, as he officiated against Boston United at home on the 13th January 2007, as County won 2-0.

He refereed another Wycombe-County clash, again it was a draw, this time 1-1. A Matt Hamshaw wondergoal was cancelled out by a last minute Stonebridge equaliser.

So far then, a good record as a referee in County games. Lets hope that stays intact tomorrow.
