Ashley Williams played all 90 minutes last night for Wales in their 2-0 friendly win in Luxembourg.

Freddy Eastwood scored both goals for Wales.

And he got great reviews from the BBC and had a solid game in the red of Wales.

Early on there was a mix up between Williams and goalkeeper Lewis Price, but Williams managed to get the ball away after a weak back pass.

And late on a defensive header, than turned out to be a fantastic one, nearly caused problems for ex County keeper Boaz Myhill.

I didn’t actually watch the game, I was out watching England (Borrring) but my brother watched the game on the internet.

Williams was his usual self, cleaning up along the back line and had a good debut.

The BBC provided a live text commentary, and according to the BBC John Toshack learnt that Ashley Williams is a useful alternative if James Collins and Danny Gabbidon continue to suffer from injuries. They also said that Ashley Williams had an impressive debut.

And from the Wales message board (yes even national sides have them!) they were rating Williams as the best player alongside Eastwood.

So it’s all good for Williams as he gets good reviews all round.

Let’s hope we see him in a Stockport County shirt on Saturday at Chester.
