One note of caution

‘subject to due diligence’.

I would hope the club in previous dialogue with the Council have been transparent and totally above board at all times. Imagine due diligence uncovering an outstanding loan on the ground, or an overdue service charge that the Council were unaware of.

Does not bare thinking about as that could well open the door to the third party property developer.

The other thing that all of us as County fans need to make clear to the rest of Stockport would be

‘[SMBC] to purchase a land asset on a cost neutral basis and will therefore not cost Council Tax Payers a penny’
