Well, it’s a start. Aberdeen striker Michael Paton is set to join County on a five-month loan deal.
BBC Radio Scotland reported that wages were a stumbling block for County in their efforts to bring in 21 year-old Paton, who spent a loan spell at Brechin City.
But since that report (at midday today), Hamann has worked with Paton and Aberdeen’s representatives to finalise a deal for the Dons to pay the forward’s wages for the duration of the loan move.
Dons boss Craig Brown said:
“Michael will be going to Stockport. He’s not really been getting a look in here, Stockport’s a good chance for him to get some games and experience in a tough league.”
Tony Evans ‘tweeted’ tonight that 2 more players will be coming in either on loan or on free transfers in the coming days, with Hamann ‘fully aware’ of the gaps that need plugging in the Hatters side.
The deal is subject to registration processes etc.
