Stockport County Supporters’ Groups Announcement

Following a meeting last night the Stockport County Supporters’ Groups would like to make the following announcement to all supporters.

Stockport County’s supporters’ groups have agreed to join forces to provide a unified voice for the fans. Up until now each of the groups has had its own separate role, but County’s recent problems, both on and off the pitch, have highlighted the need for the fans to work together if they want to have a greater impact on events at the club.

‘We are delighted to have taken this step,’ said Help the Hatters Chairman, John Fitzpatrick. ‘The fans are the greatest strength that this club has and they have been calling for us for speak with one voice. Now we can move forward with even greater strength.’

In the coming weeks the groups will seek out ways of working that will satisfy the need for unity at the same time as encouraging the many and varied contributions from the fan base. We want to have a transparent structure for ensuring that the fans’ ‘one voice’ is heard and acted upon.
