Inverness Caledonian Thistle hope to complete the signing of County midfielder Greg Tansey on a free transfer next week.

Sky Sports reported that Inverness were taking advantage of a FIFA ruling which states that if SCFC didn’t offer the Liverpudlian a new contract within 60 days of his current deal expiring, that the youngster would then be free to move wherever he chose on a free transfer, despite being under the age of 24.

The Hatters’ top scorer and Play of the Year for last season ‘tweeted’ earlier today ‘I’m going to to Inverness…looking forward to it’.

More as soon as we hear.

Well done to the board for not offering him a contract earlier then!
Another chance wasted to make some cash – maybe we can find a few more old shirts to sell instead!!

Good Luck to Tansey though – hes better than conference!

Yes. More money down the drain it would appear. I’ll second the good luck Tansey. A 10 goal a season man in the BSP. OK, not the strongest in the tackle but still young and still developing. Now he will be playing at Ibrox. Is this further evidence our new owners eyes are not on the ball or that they only care about any new ground ? Not good enought for SCFC – good enough for the SPL. Time will tell I guess.

We did offer Tansey a new contract but because hes going across the boarder then he can go on a free if a league club wanted him they would have to pay. All the best to him anyways he was ok in a bad pile of players!!

The best of a really bad bunch, I never rated Tansey though he did get some goals for us, dont know if many other clubs would have paid much for him if they had to.
We will need a strong experience midfield to make any inroads into he BSP.
We seem to be in the same position as last season…no money…no ground….no investment….promises promises of this and that……
weak board…….eh it can only get better. or can it???!!!!
